Glow supplies three compounds in a single lyophilized vial: GHK-Cu at 50mg, BPC-157 at 10mg and TB-500 at 10mg. The BBG designation refers to those components. It is among the more frequently requested preparations in dermal and connective tissue research, where the three are commonly studied together rather than separately.

Why these three

The rationale rests on the components acting through distinct mechanisms rather than reinforcing the same one.

GHK-Cu is a tripeptide-copper complex studied in extracellular matrix biology — collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, metalloproteinase and TIMP expression. It carries the largest share of the vial at 50mg, which reflects its role as the primary component rather than an adjunct.

BPC-157 is a fifteen-residue sequence examined largely through angiogenic signalling and fibroblast behaviour. TB-500 is a 43-residue thymosin beta-4 analogue whose characterised mechanism is actin sequestration, bearing on cell motility and cytoskeletal reorganisation.

Matrix synthesis, vascular signalling and cytoskeletal dynamics are three different processes. Whether combining them produces effects beyond what each contributes individually is an open question, and researchers designing comparative work should treat the combination as a hypothesis rather than an established synergy.

Full technical detail on each component is in the GHK-Cu research guide, the BPC-157 research guide, and the TB-500 research guide.

Specification

Supplied as a powder — colour varies with copper content, since the GHK-Cu component is blue and the proportion determines the shade of the blend. Soluble in water. This batch assayed at 99.23% purity, verified by HPLC and LC-MS at ILS Lab. As a blended preparation no single CAS number or molecular weight applies; see each component for individual figures.

Handling

Reconstitute with bacteriostatic or sterile water, introducing the diluent against the vial wall and swirling gently rather than shaking.

Because this preparation contains a copper complex, avoid chelating agents such as EDTA in buffer preparations — these will strip the copper from the GHK-Cu component and change what you are working with. A loss of blue colouration indicates the complex has dissociated.

Store lyophilized at −20°C protected from light; refrigerate at 2–8°C once reconstituted.

Ships with a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis. Cross-check the batch ID printed on your vial against the CoA before use — see the guide to reading a CoA if you are unfamiliar with the format.

Frequently asked questions about Glow

What does BBG stand for?

The three components: BPC-157, TB-500 and GHK-Cu. The 50+10+10mg in the product name gives the split — GHK-Cu at 50mg as the primary component, with BPC-157 and TB-500 at 10mg each. The naming convention is common across suppliers but not standardised, so confirm the composition rather than assuming it matches another vendor’s blend of the same name.

Why is GHK-Cu the largest component?

Because it is the primary compound in this preparation rather than an adjunct. At 50mg it carries five times the mass of either other component. Published work on GHK-Cu centres on extracellular matrix biology — collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis — which is the dominant research context for dermal preparations. BPC-157 and TB-500 contribute vascular and cytoskeletal mechanisms alongside it.

Should I use the blend or buy components separately?

Separately, if you are characterising mechanism. With three components acting through three different pathways, attributing any observation to one of them is not possible from a blend. Buy GHK-Cu, BPC-157 and TB-500 individually where isolation matters. The blend suits work where the combined preparation is itself the subject.

Why does EDTA need to be avoided?

Because the GHK-Cu component is a copper complex, and EDTA binds copper more strongly than GHK does. It will strip the copper out, leaving the bare tripeptide — a different molecule with different reported activity. Since GHK-Cu is the largest component here, that changes most of what is in the vial. Loss of blue colouration is your visual indicator that dissociation has occurred.
