What Is KPV?
KPV is a tripeptide composed of lysine, proline, and valine (Lys-Pro-Val), corresponding to the C-terminal fragment (residues 11–13) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). Despite its small size, KPV retains much of the anti-inflammatory activity of the parent hormone while lacking its pigmentary (melanogenic) effects, which makes it a widely studied tool compound in inflammation research.
